Outside Visitor GuideDear Residents, Employees, Family Members, Legal Representatives and Health Care Providers:

On our company COVID call this week, we reviewed all of the county positivity rates.  This is a metric the federal government has identified for us to monitor/use. We have several locations that are now in “green” counties.  This means there is less than a 5% positivity rate for COVID in that county. Based on this metric, we will be starting outdoor visitation next week, September 21st at Pine View Care Center and Pine View Terrace.

You will need to call the facility ahead of time to schedule your outdoor visits, as we cannot accommodate families who drop in unannounced due to requirements for staff supervision of visits. Please see the attached outdoor visitation guide for additional rules regarding these visits.

As I discussed in a previous update, the federal government has shipped out the COVID point-of-care testing device and supplies to our facility. Since Jackson County is a “green” county per the metric discussed above, we are required to COVID test our nursing home staff on a monthly basis. If the county turns “yellow”, which means a positivity rate between 5-10%, we are required to test nursing home staff weekly. If the county turns “red”, which means a positivity rate over 10%, the nursing home staff must test twice a week.

We are grateful Jackson County remains at a low positivity level. We thank the residents of Jackson County for this accomplishment. Please keep masking and practicing good hand hygiene and social distancing. Our residents and staff appreciate it!

As always, if you have any questions, comments or concerns, please feel free to contact the facility administrator or myself at ssonnentag@rphfcorp.com.

Sincerely,
Dr. Shellie M. Sonnentag, DNP, AGPCNP-C, CD
